Are you an accomplished lino cut artist? Then read on – we have an exciting commission to share with you.
Sutton Cultural Services are looking to commission a series of lino print blocks inspired by the borough’s heritage houses. The commissioned print blocks will be used as a resource by staff and volunteers when leading activity sessions for visitors within the heritage houses. The aim of this commission is to enhance what is on offer to families through this creative resource.
This commission is for a minimum of 8 Linocuts in A5 or A4 that will be used by the team to create prints. Sutton Cultural Services require 3 designs for Honeywood Museum, 3 designs for Whitehall Historic House, and 2 designs for Little Holland House. Linocuts will need to produce a basic and discernible print image related to the heritage houses that require only one coat of ink/ single colour scheme. These prints will be closely inspired by the original motifs and images found in our heritage houses. We are happy for artists to also submit designs that are directly inspired by the accompanying photographs and suggestions.
Little Holland House Image Pack
Previous experience working with the lino medium is essential, and a portfolio of previous works would provide an advantage for anyone interested in this commission. The budget for this project is £1,000.
To apply, please contact us via email at [email protected] on or before the expression of interest deadline of midday on July 1st 2022 with your contact and address details, along with examples of your previous work.
