Make a unique sketchbook with materials you have lying around at home. Be inspired to fill your book and escape the dread of the blank page.
Always wanted to work from a sketchbook but never know where to start? Daunted by expensive books filled with blank pages which you don’t want to risk “spoiling”? Then this workshop is for you!
Make your own creative sketchbook working from an old novel, children’s book, or even a magazine and fill it with inspiring colours and surfaces using collage and paint. During the workshop you will create the book and start filling it – leaving you excited to keep going and produce more. Tickets for the workshop are available here.
Kate Marsden is a textile designer and illustrator whose sketchbook practice has really come into its own in recent years. Kate will show you her own sketchbooks and take you through her methods, creating interesting books which inspire as stand alone objects, as well as becoming references to use in future proects.
Suitable for all levels as you can work at a pace to suit you.
